The core Queensland namespaces are minted on a public blockchain and held outright — not leased from a registrar, not pending anywhere. Whatever the State later chooses to activate is already secured today.
Under .queensland, names resolve directly onchain, receive payment and route payments, with no registrar in the path. Not a prototype: the mechanism a public entity would use is operational and can be demonstrated on request.
A register of identity and reputation runs on a contract held by the operator — not a global standard anyone can join. Only names under Queensland's namespaces are admitted. Sovereignty is enforced by the contract, not declared: a name outside the State's namespaces cannot enter the register at all.
Assignment, co-administration or full transfer — the models are ready and reversible into one another. The operator holds today; the State takes as much control as it wants, whenever it wants, verifiably onchain.
Every namespace below is minted onchain today. The flagship is where the register and every capability run live; the rest are held and resolve, ready to be activated as the State requires.
The six named namespaces sit within a wider onchain portfolio held by the operator. Additional Queensland names are minted as the State requires — nothing needs to be invented later, only activated.
Holding the whole portfolio is not the same as spreading thin across it. The register admits only what is deliberately activated — today, that is the flagship. The rest is secured and waits.
That restraint is the point. A public register earns trust by being disciplined about what it lets in, not by how much it claims to run.
